A friend of ours lent us a few swings to hang in the basement. The kids have had such a blast. Of course it has lead to a few fights but they are working on sharing. :) Some of the kids play Foosball while the others swing.

Having a swing for Katie works out great. She is content to sit in there for a long time letting me get some things done...things like laundry. :)

Sometimes Bill likes to get in on the action. Friday night we had some family time in the basement with the kids.  It's a great wintertime activity.

I love the Saturday mornings when we can sit in our jammies and relax. Claire and Katie watched Tangled while I enjoyed a cup of coffee and some reading.
I have been working my way through the Hunger Games books. I am still really torn about how I feel about them. They are pretty dark and disturbing, but they also made me think (not like a great piece of literature makes you think), they are an interesting addictive read.

But now I'm on to reading other things.

I made a list of books that I want to read.  These are just the ones I pulled off my shelf that I want to read. Most of these were given to me or recommended to me by others. I want to add one more good fiction to this list but I haven't decided what. Maybe I will just re-read the Mark of the Lion Trilogy (my favorite books).
Giving Katie a bath is always a very interesting activity.  She is such a water baby.  She crawls into the bathroom all the time and begs to get in the tub.
I'm pretty sure she would live in the water if she had a choice.  Most of our babies have enjoyed being in the bathtub but non so much as Katie.  She is such a silly happy girl.

I gave Ryan a long overdue haircut.  My boys HATE getting their haircut.  I have racked my brain to try and think of a way to make it easier on them.  I think I have finally found something that helps.  I let them watch part of a DVD while I am cutting.  It makes things go so much better.  There isn't as much crying or flinching. :)
Ryan admiring himself after receiving his new do.
I made a big batch of tortilla shells.  They turned out really great. I used some of them to make chicken enchladias for dinner and the rest we will use for next weeks meals.
Happy Weekending!

I just finished the Hunger Games trilogy last night. I really liked them! But I agree that they are disturbing at times.

Your books have me itching to read :) Looks like a nice relaxing weekend! Katie really looks like James, I think! And Levi looooves bath time too, whenever he's fussy I just stick him in the tub, works every time!
